James Lancett is a bestselling illustrator, children's author and BAFTA nominated animation director. As a child growing up in Cardiff he was obsessed with cartoons, video games and all things fantasy. As he grew up and became a lot more beardy these inspirations held strong and led him to a career in both TV animation and children's illustration. He has illustrated bestselling books including Noel Fitzpatrick's Vetman, Adam B's Adam Wins the Internet and Chris Smith's The New Famous Five, as well as working as a episodic director on recent ‘The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball’ for Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe. Most recently he has written and illustrated his debut children's book ‘Galaxy Runners: Jello Breaks the Universe’
